Annual parade puts twinkle in eyes of local children, families | 1

Lights and eyes twinkled Saturday night as the 12th annual “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas” parade rolled through downtown Wichita Falls as part of the City Lights Festival. The parade had more than 80 entries this year, up from about 50 in previous years, and Executive Assistant Kelly Atkins said the turnout was great. “Every year we get closer to 10,000 people,” she said, estimating about 8,000 people participated or watched. The City Lights Festival kicked off earlier in the afternoon with a motorcycle run, where applicants took toys to the Salvation Army and later with a 5K run. Full story »
